How do you think this technology will impact future fiber maintenance and outages?

Considering, much to the disagreement of some (looking at Elon), fiber is the future of communications / Internet access. Until we can get sub-space communications (yes, that's a Star Trek joke), we need to do everything we can to minimize damage to fiber and decrease repair times when it does happen (which it always will).
