Cookie policy

Broadband Digest sets a small number of cookies. None of them are for advertising,
and none of them follow you to other sites.

Cookies this site sets

  • Session cookie - identifies your browser to the site for the length
of your visit, so it knows you are signed in. Deleted when it expires or when
    you sign out.
  • "Stay signed in" - set only if you tick that box when signing in, so
you do not have to sign in again on this device.
  • myzen_tfa_device - set only if you use two-factor authentication and
choose to trust a device. Lasts 30 days, and lets that one device skip the
    code.
  • XSRF token - a security cookie that proves a form was submitted from
this site and not from another one.

We also store your light or dark theme preference in your browser's local
storage. That never leaves your browser and is not sent to us.

Third parties

The site talks to outside services only where the feature is switched on:

  • Cloudflare Turnstile, if enabled, checks that a registration is not
automated. It sets its own cookies.
  • Google, Discord and Apple, if you choose to sign in with one of
them. They see that you signed in here.
  • Stripe and PayPal, if you buy something. They set their own cookies
    on their own checkout pages.

There is no analytics, no advertising network, and no social media tracking
script on this site. Share buttons are plain links: they load nothing until
you click them.

Turning them off

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The session cookie
is what keeps you signed in, so blocking it means you can read the site but
not sign in to it.
