Anthropic has announced that their AI chatbot Claude now integrates with Google Workspace, allowing it to access and reference emails in Gmail, calendar events, and Google Docs. This feature is currently in beta and available to subscribers of Anthropic's premium plans. The integration requires administrator approval for multi-user accounts. Claude will provide in-line citations when referencing Workspace content and includes strict authentication controls to protect user data. Additionally, Anthropic launched Claude Research, a new feature that performs multiple web searches to generate detailed answers, competing with similar offerings from OpenAI and Google.
